It soon became clear that, unfortunately, NaughtyAvenue was full of automated messages rather than genuine women looking for a soulmate.

The paid subscription model on NaughtyAvenue is extremely misleading and expensive. They display prices in a way that makes it look much cheaper than it actually is, by offering 'per day' or 'per week' fees. Additionally, they have a trial version, but if a user fails to cancel before the trial period ends they will automatically start charging them a monthly subscription fee. This monthly fee can range from $30 to $60 per month depending on the subscription, and they even use misleading discounts of up to 50% for the first month of usage to make it appear as a good deal. This means that users might end up paying double the expected costs for a second month unless they remember to actively cancel their subscription in due time.

NaughtyAvenue belongs to a network of online dating sites, allowing them to reuse profiles on other websites within the network.
