Is WildSpank legit or is it a scam? I tried out the site and investigated on my own to find the answer - and here's what I can tell you. From creating a user account, to testing out the matches, and reading through the privacy policies, I'll let you know whether WildSpank is a site you can count on.

WildSpank is a dating site that offers many of the same features of a regular dating site, such as the ability to browse profiles, search using filters such as age and location, and to chat with other members. It also has a feature called Like Gallery, which is similar to the swiping and matching feature on Tinder. Users can register and browse for free on the site, but to chat and see full-sized photos of other members, users must subscribe. They sometimes offer a few free messages for newly registered members. Subscribers also get better customer support and extended search results. The dashboard design of the site is not unique, we have seen similar sites in the past. 

Having dipped our toes into the world of online dating, we decided to take a deeper look into the murky depths of WildSpank. Looking at the profiles of these women, everything seemed too good to be true, as if they had stepped straight out of a fairytale. Unfortunately, our suspicions were confirmed, as our research into WildSpank revealed that the women enticed in with these saucy photos were in fact too good to be true. Through reverse Google image search, we discovered that a good bunch of the female profiles had been stolen – the people in the photos did not exist on WildSpank, and in some cases, the photos had been taken directly from popular models and influencers' Instagrams. While WildSpank does clearly state that a portion of the female profiles are fake, it's certainly worth bearing in mind in your quest for true love.

After testing the WildSpank dating site, it became quite clear that something wasn't quite right. As soon as I registered with a dummy male test profile, I received nonstop messages from an unknown woman who wanted to chat with me - no matter what time I logged in - mid-day or midnight. These messages sounded completely artificial and robotic, and I felt like I was talking to a bot rather than a real person. I tried to arrange a real date with some of these women, but I could not get any of them to commit. It was pretty clear to me that I was being duped by automated messages!

The paid subscription model on WildSpank is confusing and deliberately designed to confuse users and charge them more than they anticipated. Prices are displayed per day or per week, making it look cheaper than it actually is. They offer a free trial version, but if a user does not cancel the trial, then they will be charged for a monthly subscription. Monthly subscriptions can cost as much as 30 to 60 dollars per month, and there are often discounted prices for the first month, leading to users being charged double for their second month if they do not cancel their subscription in time. All of this makes it difficult for users to know what the true cost of a subscription will be.

WildSpank is part of a wider network of dating sites, as stated in their Privacy Policy: "we operate a large number of social, dating, lifestyle, and entertainment sites (including mobile applications) through our Group Companies and Partner Sites." This raises several questions: Why do companies need to create a large network of separate dating sites? What is the purpose of recycling user profiles on more than one website?

WildSpank's Terms and Conditions state that, after joining one of their Services, users receive an email offering the option to create a duplicate profile on other Partner Sites in order to "enhance your chance of finding a suitable match." It is important to note that each dating site might be registered under a different company name, but all sites in their network share almost identical terms and conditions and payment systems. This suggests that users' information and activity is being collected and shared, yet there is no clear disclosure from WildSpank about how their data is protected.

The purpose of creating a network of separate dating sites is unclear. WildSpank should explain why it is necessary to create a large network of sites, and how user information is collected and protected in that process. Their current behavior is somewhat suspect and should be reconsidered. With no transparency on these issues, users have no way of knowing that their personal information is safe and secure.

Is WildSpank worth your time and money? Not at all! WildSpank looks like a well-organized rip-off that's out to take your money and waste your time. From the suspicious profiles to the bot messages and the misleading subscription model, you can't trust WildSpank. Add to that the shady company behind this dating site and you're left with a dating experience that is nothing short of vexing. You're better off looking elsewhere for love; WildSpank is not worth your time and money. Save yourself some heartache, and steer clear of WildSpank!
