BeNaughty - Just Another Dating Scam?

BeNaughty is a dating site that has gained popularity for its raunchier approach to online flings. It’s been around for a few years but does that mean it has proven itself a platform with legit horny women looking for one-night stands? Or is it just another scam?

In this review, we created a dummy account for this one and sought any phony aspects including the design of the site, the women you get to meet on the platform, and the finer details in its Terms & Conditions.

About BeNaughty

BeNaughty is a general online dating site that claims to have millions of “love-minded members”. It has the following basic features: profiles based on your sexual preferences, a mini-swiping game like Tinder, and a chat/video call to connect with the person. The platform says it has every kind of person you like: straight, gay, or non-binary. What it fails to provide is the realness of the members.

With too many spam bots, fake profiles, and an invasion of privacy (from their Terms & Conditions), BeNaughty is not a great place to find love and lust.

While BeNaughty tells you to “chat anyone you want” and has a “smart geo search” (connects you to singles in your area), the site is not as exciting as it seems. We investigated parts of the site that makes it considered a scam site.

Cons and Pros

We created multiple men's test profiles on BeNaughty and monitored them for several days to see whether it is a good dating site to stick around with or just another dating scam full of fake profiles. See what we found out.

Fake Profiles

As soon as you create a profile, you get to see a bunch of hot girls - some are so hot, you’d take them as Instagram influencers or TikTok personalities. Unfortunately, these are fake. The images you see are mostly grabbed from other places on the internet, especially, social media.

How come it doesn’t have a verification system to make sure you talk to a real person on a platform filled with “millions” of members?

Since the site does not have verified checkmarks for members, you will have to guess who’s a bot or who’s an actual person behind the profile. We reviewed several profiles to know if the person is who they say they are. When we reverse-Googled their images, it redirected us to social media pages of well-known models and internet personalities such as the image below:

This woman is a well-known model Tina Mikulski, who lives in France. How come she is only 50 miles away from our test profile in Wisconsin, United States?

Unless they’re lewd models, we don’t think they would even register themselves with the same profile picture on a website called “Be Naughty” or anything similar.

Automated Bot Messages

With fake profiles come fake messages. Right after we finished creating the profile, our inbox got littered with messages from phony women. We can tell they’re not real just because the profile we made was outside the US and they chatted in fluent English. Some even use flirty slang that only average Americans would say. Mind you, the profile we made was not even fully complete - no profile picture and biography.

Several messages even say that they want to chat with us immediately - something that a normal person would not even dare to say to a profile as anonymous as ours.

No Official App

When you click on the website, you will notice that it presents itself as an app like Tinder or Bumble. However, when you look up BeNaughty on the Play Store or App Store, there are at least three Apps with the same name but from different publishers.

We say there’s no official App for it because none of them are published by its company, Kaleton Web s.r.o. Even the logos are different compared to the one we are reviewing here, so what is what? Plus, they are not linking to any App from their official BeNaughty website, which makes us believe that Apps that you find with a similar name are just cheap counterfeits.

Meanwhile, if you use BeNaughty on a browser, the web design is exactly the same as other fishy dating sites. Because of this, the authenticity of the website is gone and is just another duplicated online dating platform.

Associated with Shady Dating Networks

The company behind BeNaughty - Kaleton Web s.r.o. is based in Slovakia, which makes it more suspicious why it markets itself as a dating site created for single Americans. That said, the evidence is in the details of their Privacy Policy - especially regarding the information they collect from you.

Collecting Your Social Media Profile

"Some of our Services have the ability to link your use of the Services to other social networks you might have access to. If you have an account with another social network e.g. Facebook, you can share the data you have on our site with that network. To enhance your experience and create a personalized service we may ask you to log in to your Facebook account. By doing so you consent and grant us access to your information stored on your Facebook profile including without limitation your personal information, photographs, media content, interests and locations."

The statement above is the same as other fishy dating sites: when you create a profile, the company will verify you based on your location, browser history, and cookies. That also means when you allow them to access your Facebook profile, they can collect data from your friend's list and activities. Oddly enough, it only targets Facebook but nothing about Twitter, Instagram, or Tiktok.

Collecting Your Data to Duplicate to Partner Sites

"When you sign up to any one of our Services we will send you an email shortly afterwards advising that we have created a duplicate profile on our Partner Sites to enhance your chance of finding a suitable match. When we email you about this you will have the option to decline this service, which costs nothing extra."

In other words, when you create a profile on BeNaughty, they have the right to duplicate it on other dating sites. This includes your images, profile description, and Facebook profile (if you linked it with them).

Simply put, your profile is exposed publicly to other dodgy dating websites.

Bad User Reviews Online

Overall, BeNaughty is a mixed bag with an average score of 3 out of 5 stars, most of them complaining about the auto-renewal of plans without the members’ consent and the number of bot profiles. Here are some reviews we found online:

SiteJabber

Matt J.: I've never felt more wronged than when dealing with BeNaughty! All they can offer you is multitudes of bots to chat with. Just for a few minutes, then go chat with another bot. One more thing I want to mention about BeNaughty. Your membership will be automatically renewed every month and you will have to struggle to put it to an end.

Rhys H.: Called and canceled repeat subscription. Got billed the next day anyway. Called again "we have no record of your phone call yesterday to cancel... So therefore we didn't cancel" absolutely disgusting and now taken the money I desperately needed this month. Avoid at all costs!

Sharp B.: When I first joined about 5 people responded right away. They stopped after 2 or 3 generic answers often pat answers to answers to earlier emails. The site switches to other dating sites hoping to have a user join them too. So far it doesn't seem that any of the ladies are real but that the site responds to chats.

DatingScout

Gunt: NothingThis site is an outrageous fraud. Right away, I was asked for my phone number so the "woman" I was speaking with could text me. Fortunately, I have a texting number separate from my phone so I was curious to see what would happen. Within moments, she admitted to being a prostitute, even sharing her "rates" with me. I reported her immediately.

Jann: I don’t find the site very good. I get a ton of people impersonating real people at least 10 a day wanted me to click their profile or text them my phone number. Not happy with the site at all it was a waste of money.

Unclear Subscription Method

BeNaughty will lure you into buying their services which include unlimited chats, enlarged photos, better search results based on your preferences, and premium support.

The payment comes in four plans:

  • 1 Day: $0.99 per day

  • 1 Week: $0.39 per day

  • 1 Month: $0.96 per day

  • 3 Months: $0.54 per day

What makes it unclear is that the prices you see are just a one-time deal. After that, the prices hike up to 30%. For example, when you are done with the 3-month plan, you spend $0.77 per day instead.

That said, below the “PAY NOW” button is a grayed-out statement of what you will actually pay for. For example, when you choose to pay for the 3-month plan, you pay a total of $45.44 for the rest of the 90 days instead of the proposed “per day” crediting at the checkout counter.

If you are not alert, you might just get startled by how much you will actually pay when you select a longer plan.

Moreover, BeNaughty will auto-renew your plan. If you somehow subscribed to one, we recommend contacting their customer service to cancel it because there is no other way to stop paying unless you give them an email. Even if you get in touch with a representative, you may just be talking to an admin bot. Yes, it is inconvenient this way, which adds more negativity to the site.

Little Sponsored Ads

The only good thing we can come up with BeNaughty is how there are barely any sponsored ads popping up. They’re mostly displayed on the side of the website and they’re generally small. Usually, a scam site would enforce pop-ups to appear in your browser tab but this one felt friendlier than other dating sites we investigated.

Why We Don’t Recommend BeNaughty

Unfortunately, while the advertised front page looks enticing enough to be a competitor for most popular dating apps, BeNaughty will just fool you into registering for a generic fishy dating site with no positive results. Its design screams out SCAM because of the fake profiles, the spam messages, the affiliation with other phony websites, and the payment method.

We expected something out of the ordinary in BeNaughty but left us feeling disappointed by the mediocrity and scumminess.

If you want to move on with the cancelation process immediately, scroll down to step one and cancel your subscription on Verifiedprofiles. What do we know about this dating site so far? Verifiedprofiles has a sound warning on its page that they do not create fake profiles like others. In addition, the site has quite an outdated homepage design. Most importantly, Verifiedprofiles has the exact company details, terms of use, and subscription model as some other hookup sites with very mixed reviews online. For example, check Fling.com, Uberhorny or AssTok. They all seem to be part of one dating network, sharing the same address in the United States, Florida.  So regardless of how hard Verifiedprofiles try to convince people about being "good guys" we would still question how trustworthy they really are. Many users of this site complain about unexpected membership charges, so we decided to do a quick guide on how to cancel a subscription on this site.
