TenderMeetups is a more mellow and romantic dating site made for a guy who wants to settle down and fully commit to a long-term relationship. If marriage is on your mind, this website is ideal for you… kind of.
You see, while TenderMeetups may seem like a wholesome online dating site that puts more emphasis on love, it is pretty disgusting how much of a scam it is. Populated with fake profiles and a Privacy Policy that would make you think twice, TenderMeetups is not loyal to its members, unlike a devoted married couple.
Here’s what we mean.
Stop wasting your time and money on questionable dating sites like TenderMeetups and meet the potential love of your life elsewhere. You can check out alternative dating sites with real women who are as marriage-minded as you are.
Many men go online to have the chance for some quick sex. Others may just want to be friends with women. To some, the internet may be the perfect opportunity to wed the perfect lady. TenderMeetups is all about that: a dating platform where women also seek marriage as much as you do. That means the website is more directed towards meeting for love rather than getting naughty online and having a one-night stand.
The site includes some of the most basic features in any other dating network: a dedicated chat room, a catalog for women of your type, and a Tinder-like-swiping game. See its dashboard here:

It seems like a harmless website until you come across the fake profiles and the absurd amount of spam messages that go into your inbox daily.
With no unique designs to make it genuine compared to other dating sites, TenderMeetups is another copy-pasted scam website. The site was created by a company called Alterweb Kft, which released many dating sites. TenderMeetups uses the exact format as another Alterweb dating site: BeFlirty, which we reviewed in the past here.
For this investigation, we made a dummy account and subscribed to their short-term subscription plan. We messaged over 40 women on the site in hopes that at least one of them is a true person. Here’s what we got.
We already knew it was a fake site when we completed the registration. Personally, during my investigation, I found too many similarities with other dating sites; in fact, they’re so similar that they all suffer from the same problems, including fake profiles, spam messages, and the company involved with other suspicious dating networks.
All the women on the front page are young and beautiful in their 20s. For a website that focuses on settling down, it seems odd that women in their 30s and above are opted out by default (but that's just some minor observation). However, what matters here to the investigation is how real they are.
As usual, we did reverse-Google image searches on several profile photos of this site's members. The results showed that many photographs belong to models and influencers and that those were taken from social media pages. Names on social media pages and profiles on TenderMeetups did not match, so most likely, they are unaware of their photos being used on this sketchy dating site. See here:

They also have a verification feature, too… well, sort of. A profile can have a "Safe Feature" in the settings where you can only chat with other verified members. Still, wouldn't they have made it simpler by adding an icon on a profile? In the current year, online dating apps always provide ways to prove that the members are real. They are mostly seen with a checkmark on their profiles.
A fake dating service relies a lot on fake profiles and messages sent by bots that are sent automatically. Scammers do this because they can make money if you click on their links.
In the first 30 minutes after I made my account, I got more than 12 new messages. They came from lovely women who said they were in their 40s. It's hard to believe that all of this happened so fast.
This is also where I took advantage of the subscription and messaged more than 40 different women with opening lines I had made before making an account. The vast majority of them didn't answer, and the few that did either gave an answer that had nothing to do with the question or just said they wanted to be sexual with me.
For those who contacted me, I asked simple questions about how they were doing, like "How are you?" and "Are you doing anything tonight?" Either they answered something really irrelevant to the question, or they didn't say anything at all.
Also, these profiles are always up and running. Whether it's 2:30 in the afternoon or 4:30 in the morning, they're always talking.
For a website that centers on marriage than quick sex, these profiles sure are horny. It’s as if they don’t want to get wed at all.
Most often, scummy dating sites are made by dodgy networks that can exploit your data for reuse across their platforms. TenderMeetups was made by Alterweb Kft, involving various dating sites with negative reviews due to the same problems, like the population of fake accounts and non-stop bot messages. This led me to believe it is involved with other suspicious networks. That said, this also means TenderMeetups recycles the same format as other sites with the same profile pictures but with different usernames. Because TenderMeetups reuses content, I thought the site was linked to other platforms with questionable reputations. When it comes to the information they collect about you and their Privacy Policy, the devil is in the details:
“Some of our Services have the ability to link your use of the Services to other social networks you might have access to. If you have an account with another social network e.g. Facebook, you can share the data you have on our site with that network. To enhance your experience and create a personalized service we may ask you to log in to your Facebook account. By doing so you consent and grant us access to your information stored on your Facebook profile including without limitation your personal information, photographs, media content, interests and locations.”
When you make a profile, the organization will check your location, browsing history, and cookies to make sure you are who you say you are. That also means that if you let them into your Facebook account, they can find out information about your friends and everything else you share there.
The site also collects your information to copy to partner sites, see here:
“When you sign up to any one of our Services we will send you an email shortly afterwards advising that we have created a duplicate profile on our Partner Sites to enhance your chance of finding a suitable match. When we email you about this you will have the option to decline this service, which costs nothing extra.”
If you make a profile on TenderMeetups, the company has the right to copy it and use it on other dating sites. This includes your photos, your descriptions, and even your Facebook page (if you choose to link it to your dating profile).
To put it another way, on questionable dating sites, anyone can see your profile.
TenderMeetups will try to get you to buy their services, which include unlimited chats, larger photos, better search results based on what you like, and better customer service.
It offers several different ways to pay. It's hard to understand because it doesn't say whether you'll buy the plan every day, every week, or every month. We're not sure how they can explain this in a few words, but according to the site, you have these choices:

When TenderMeetups renews your credit, the prices will go up by 30%.
For example, your daily rate will go up to $0.77 after the first three months.
But there is a grayed-out list of what you'll be charged for under the button that says "PAY NOW."
For example, if you choose to pay for the 3-month plan, you will pay $45.44 for the remaining 90 days instead of the "per day" credit you were given at the register. This is because the cost of the 3-month plan is higher than the cost of the 1-month plan.
Not easy to understand, right?
The most crucial part to remember is that your TenderMeetups plan will be automatically renewed every month. You can cancel it at any time by going to the options page in your profile, but it might take them a few days to confirm it. Also, you can't get your money back. Once you pay, you can never get your money back, even if you ask customer service to do so.
In terms of customer service, our team tried to reach out to customer service. We heard back from them within a few hours, but it took them a few days to answer our question about canceling our membership. We were very lucky that the website could cancel it for us. However, a lot of people are still having trouble canceling their subscriptions, so we can't say the same for them.
This website doesn't have much going for it. On the other hand, there aren't many ads, which is a good thing. Unlike websites that use pop-up windows, this one's ads only take up a small amount of your screen space because they are in the sidebar.
TenderMeetups is one of many scammy dating websites that lure gullible men to chat with often fake women's profiles. The odds of meeting someone honest here are very low. Plus it is expensive. So, if you consider joining up as a member, you would be just wasting your time.
You can register and browse members on-site without paying. However, if you want to chat with members on this site with no limitations, you must buy one of their subscription packages.
Contact their customer support through Contact Us form. If you are registered - click under your profile picture - look for Get Support, and follow the instructions. If you are non-registered - look for the Contact Us form at the bottom of their homepage.
It's a real site that you can find online. However, it is not the most trustworthy site out there. They use scammy dating practices such as fake profiles and bot messages. They also expose users' profiles on multiple shady dating sites that belong to their network, making their reputation questionable.
